One of Mallorca´s best wine producer, the bodega Macia Batle in Santa Maria, offers a very special tour for gourmets: Mallorca Wine Express – which is a 4 hours trip by a tiny train through the vineyards and different stops to try local products from Mallorca.
The tour starts at bodega Macia Batle with a visit of the wine production & cellar and a wine tasting. After the visit, the train goes to a lovely traditional Majorcan mansion which produces excellent olive oil. The finca is surrounded by olive grove and animals. Taste the oil with fresh baked bread, also try home made vinegars, sweets and much more from the island.
The last stop of the Mallorca Wine Express is in the middle of a vineyard where you are invited to try sweet dessert wines, coffee, cakes and fig bread. All very delicious!
At the end of the tour the train stops at Macia Batle again and don´t forget the get some souvenirs from Mallorca in the shop of Macia Batle offering wine and local delicacies from Mallorca.
